Meet & Greet at our Location

If we are doing the Meet & Greet at our location, we are looking forward to you seeing our beautiful property.  We are located at 11275 North Tabler Road, Minooka, IL 60447.

Before your Meet & Greet

A) Please fill out our Veterinary Records Form that can be found on this page or following the link.

B) Please join our free Facebook group: Freedom Dog Training Community. We highly recommend checking out the first four guides to learn more about how we train dogs.

During the Appointment

We will meet you in the driveway and proceed from there to our training room for the Meet & Greet.  Please have your dog on a secure collar and a 4-6 foot leash.  Please no flexi/retractable leashes or harness and have enough people present to control all dogs that you bring to the Meet & Greet.

During the Meet & Greet, we'll be doing some training with your dog while get to know you and your dog better and discuss how we can help, so please don't feed your dog within several hours of your appointment.

We’ll be using food (typically orijen kibble, happy howies and ziwipeak).  If your dog has any food allergies or sensitivities, please let us know and have their food ready for us in the driveway that we can have so that when we get to the training room, we can get started training right away.  We don’t want your dog to get an upset tummy.

At the end of the Meet & Greet, you can decide if you want to sign up, a portion of your Meet & Greet fee will go toward your training program if you're signing up for a private lesson or board and train option.

Veterinary Requirements

In our on-going effort to provide you and your dog’s with the best care and service possible as well as provide a clean and healthy environment for all, we require ALL dogs that participate in any activity at our Freedom Dog Training & Boarding facility provide proof of the following veterinary records from a licensed veterinarian.

For puppies 8-20 weeks:

a) rabies vaccination no later than 16 weeks of age

b) age appropriate distemper/parvo combo shots

c) negative fecal within 30 days of the first appointment and then updated every six months thereafter

For dogs 21 weeks and older:

a) rabies vaccination (1 or 3 years)

b) distemper/parvo combo (1yr, 3 yrs or a yearly titer)

c) negative fecal within 6 months of the first appointment and then updated every six months thereafter

If your dog tests positive on their fecal, they need to be treated.  After treatment, a new fecal test will be needed to make sure the treatment has worked.  Some parasites require more than one round of treatment to get rid of them.

We don't require the bordetella vaccine but Client is welcome to have their dog vaccinated with bordetella. Client understands that even if Client's dog is vaccinated against kennel cough (bordetella) or not vaccinated, there is a chance that the owner's dog can still contract kennel cough.

We appreciate your willingness to help us keep our facility as clean and safe as possible for the enjoyment of all.

For services in your home, we do not require a negative fecal.

Veterinary Records Form

Before your Meet & Greet at either our location or your house, please fill out our Veterinary Records Form.  You'll want to have your dog's vet records with you when you do this as you'll need to input dates and upload them directly to the form.

Meet & Greet at your Home

We're looking forward to meeting you and your dog(s) at your home.  We'll go to the address that is on your contact form.

Before your Meet & Greet

A) Please fill out our Veterinary Records Form that can be found on this page or following the link.

B) Please join our free Facebook group: Freedom Dog Training Community. We highly recommend checking out the first four guides to learn more about how we train dogs.

During the Appointment

We'll begin training the moment we come into your home. If your dog is going to bark or jump on us when we enter we'll take care of things with a clear correction from our bottle and lots of food to reward other behaviors.

If you would like us not to correct your dog for jumping or trying to run out the door followed by lots and lots of food rewards or if your dog is a bite risk to us, please have them crated when we come in and we'll proceed from there.

We’ll be using food (typically orijen kibble, happy howies and ziwipeak).  If your dog has any food allergies or sensitivities, please let us know and have food ready for us to use the moment we come in the door as we’ll start training right away at your doorway.  We don’t want your dog to get an upset tummy.

Also please make sure your dog hasn’t eaten within a few hours of the Meet & Greet so they are hungry for training with food.

At the end of the Meet & Greet, you can decide if you want to sign up, a portion of your Meet & Greet fee will go toward your training program if you're signing up for a private lesson or board and train option.
